An understanding of the materials and hardware used in aircraft maintenance is essential. EASA 66 Module 6 will enable the student to identify the different types of materials used as well as the hardware needed to maintain an aircraft.

- 6.4 Corrosion
- (a)- Chemical fundamentals; Formation by, galvanic action process, microbiological, stress;
- (b)- Types of corrosion and their identification;Causes of corrosion; Material types, susceptibility to corrosion.
- 6.5 Fasteners
